Yes, GUJCET is required for MCA admission in the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Admission is provided on merit through ACPC counselling, which takes into account GUJCET marks. The candidates need to qualify for the exam first and then apply for counselling. Without appearing in GUJCET, one cannot be eligible for the MCA seat allotment.

Admission to the Thapar University MCA course is merit-based. The selection process for MCA courses is simple: Thapar University evaluates the candidates' scores at the graduation level, and according to that, the university will release the merit list. Additionally, candidates must have studied Mathematics in their Class 12 and graduation level; the university assesses the complete academic record of the applicant.

To get admission into MCA courses at Thapar University, candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria first and go through a selection process. Moreover, selection is based on merit prepared by giving weightage to Class 10, Class 12, and graduation scores. The weightage has been given to aggregate marks up to a pre-final year. Therefore, there is no provision that can be seen to admit directly for MCA courses.

The basic eligibility requirement to pursue an MCA course at Thapar University is that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree from any stream with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for reserved categories). Moreover, candidates should have studied Mathematics in their Class 12 and graduation to pursue MCA at TIET. The selection process is based on merit, which is released by the university after evaluating candidates' academic performance in Class 10, 12, and graduation. Moreover, the official website of the university does not explicitly mention the acceptance of entrance examination scores for admissions to MCA.
