NEET Round 1, has been released for admission to the MDS courses. As per Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research NEET cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing rank was 3378 for General category candidates in All India quota for MDS in Prosthodontics, Crown and Bridge. MDS cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Candidates who passed MBBS with 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. KGMU MD admissions are done based on the NEET PG entrance exam scores, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE).

The eligibility criteria for applying to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme at AIIMS Patna is as follows:
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have a recognised Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a Dental Council of India (DCI) recognised dental college or university.
Internship Completion: Candidates should have completed a compulsory rotatory internship of one year in an approved/recognized dental college.
Registration: It is mandatory for candidates to be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council.
Minimum Marks: General/OBC candidates should have obtained at least 55% aggregate

For admission to a three-year MD course at KGMU, there is basic eligibility criteria as per NBE norms. Admissions to this course is based on NEET PG scores. To appear for this entrance exam and admission to MD is offered to those who hold MD degree from a university recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 55% aggregate in the case of General & OBC categories. There is a relaxation of five percent for SC/ ST category candidates. The reserved category candidates are required to obtain 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of MD.
