The placements at Thapar are good. The average packages go around 9.75 Lacs CTC, and it increases every year. Around 200 companies visit Thapar. If you are not able to get placed during your graduation year, then Thapar gives you one more chance to get placed. From the 6th semester, they start your placement training. Last Year Thapar had nearly 100% placement for mechanical batch. They did better than electronics batch. Starting Packages on an avg were 5 lac which what is usually one get in mechanical engineering. One of the finest Mechanical depts. You can get. It's great regarding study, projects, research, placements etc.

Yes there are plenty of colleges which provide the distance education BBA and then you can opt for MBA as well.
