The marks required to get admission will be a very tough thing to tell, as admissions are rank based and the marks fluctuate every year both in percentage as well as absolute due to varying difficulties of the JEE each year. You can check the relevant ranks and other data on JoSAA website. It is the most reliable resource as JoSAA is the body that sees the admission process through JEE. http://josaa.nic.in/Result/result/OpeningClosingRank.aspx.

I don't think there are any such criteria to finish the course in 1 month. If you wish to pursue 1-month course, kindly look for the right course which has one month duration.
Hope it helps!

Aah, the Shakespearen dilemma! Actually it's like which flower is better! Okay. Different branches in engineering don the top flavour of choice in different points in time. Hardly any branch has retained it's top position except perhaps IT/CSE. Both the branches mentioned by you can be called as evergreen branches. Both have similar chances of placements. In view of the above, I have no doubt to advise you that please select the branch that fascinates you the most. Best wishes to you.
