Mechanical Engineering

The eligibility criteria of CSIR UGC NET M.Sc. Or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/ BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (your) and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. Candidates possessing only Bachelors degree are eligible to apply only for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and not for Lectureship (LS). Age criteria for JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years {upper age limit may be relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD)/ female applicants and 03 years in case of OBC (Non Creamy Layer) applicants}. So from above you are eligible for JRF only not for Lectureship (LS).

Aeronautical engineering is a sub branch of mechanical engineering. It is a specialisation of mechanical engineering. At Polytechnic level, only few institutions have necessary facilities to offer aeronautical engineering. But at Engineering level studying aeronautical engineering is good. Those studied mechanical engineering at Diploma level I. e Polytechnic are eligible to take or study aeronau tical engineering at Engineering level. So it is better to Study mechanical engineering. Those studied mechanical engineering have the option of joining mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automobile engineering apart from aeronautical engineering. At B.E. /B.Tech level.

The department is provided with good infrastructure. The staffs are experienced and qualified. The department is also run two PG course in thermal engineering and design engineering. The department believes in practical oriented education. The lower semester students are encouraged to make mini projects based on the technical knowledge gained. The final year students are encouraged to present technical papers in national level conferences. Internship are arranged in leading companies in and around Bangalore to gain technical skill and industrial exposures. Thud by joining to mechanical engineering course one can definitely satisfy their ambitions.
