Hi Nitisha,
Both the courses are very good at BITS Hyderabad. The college has excellent infrastructure, faculty members and laboratories to give sound pedagogy to students. Both the courses can help you go places in your streams if you are honest in your study. Many students take up different electives to go for an IT related jobs for higher paychecks. However, it depends on you, what you want to achieve using this opportunity. The placements in Electrical and Mechanical courses are not as lucrative as CSE, but definitely at par with any good engineering institute of India. Best Wishes.

Hi Aditya,
Congratulations for your CET score!
But I doubt you will get admission in the very first round under general category. You will have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd round.
All the best!

For lateral entry, your rank should be under 100 because lateral entry depends on the vacant seats in the second year.

Every field has its own merits and demerits. The difficulty level depends solely on the student's determination and interest towards the subject. However, answering your question, mechanical engineering is felt by most people as slightly more difficult when compared to civil. You have to be good at maths for both fields but mechanical demands more skill and knowledge about gadgets.
All the best! I would really suggest mechanical engineering. Please upvote my answer if it is helpful.
