After the degree in Mechanical Engineering, learning into USE and get into jobs, this is what I would suggest in first place. If you are willing to pursue Higher Education and not job, then I would suggest doing M.Tech if you want to be a teacher of the subject. You can apply for MBA as well because many engineers make good managers after MBA.

Hello, hope you are doing well. No you will not get Ujjain Engeineering college because it is a government college and government college does not accept below cutoff scores. Cutoff is only for getting admission in government college. You will get some private college with this rank and Indore or Ujjain. Try to go for them.

Sorry, but the rankings are not enough and are too far from the closing rank even from home state quota for general category. Round about 220000 are the least for chemical engineering. Moreover, you'll get into Biotech which is around 3 lakh rank in home state only.
Best of luck.

Hello,
I hope you are doing well. You need to score so high that your rank lies under 1000, then you will be eligible for IIT Bombay for any branch and need to score below 500 ranks to be able to get mechanical branch at IIT Bombay because there cut-offs are so high no one can get easily. Try to score well and secure good rank.

As per your rank which is 83167, it is really difficult to get your number in 2nd counselling. You can also check last year cutoffs and you check where students with the same rank as your stand last year. even though you can wait after checking the cutoffs, if there is any chance for getting a seat by comparing last year cutoff, you can wait otherwise switch to some other college in mech branch. You also may be allotted seats according to your category so check last year result and then wait accordingly.
