BITS-Pilani civil is better than BITS-Hyderabad mechanical in terms of placements, unless one is interested in mechanical. IIIT-Pune is a new and quite unheard of. So, can't be compared.

-Ucal fuel systems

-Ford India
-Blue Star
- Elgi
Apart from these, there will be software companies for recruitment.

1- Govt. Job:
If you want a government you don't need any additional certificates. Only you have to do is that Concentrate on your academic courses and prepare for GATE or IES. There is a bright future for mechanical engineers in India. Every year 20+ government companies hire mechanical engineers. All you have to do is that appear in GATE exam and qualify with under 250 AIR. The pattern of GATE exam, you can download from the official website or can search to google. This is the list of PSU companies related to mechanical engineer which hire the candidates on the basis of GATE score:

Hi Abhishek,
Your rank is good you can get some of government colleges which are not so good because the best government college counselling goes up to 300 only last year. So fill the counselling form, may be this year you will get a good college.
