You have to have 6.5 in all four modules In IELTS. Also, your IELTS score has nothing to do with what you choose to study.

Hello Kartik,
VJTI, Mumbai fills its seats via MHCET, not via JEE Mains so you need to attempt MHCET and need to score more than 130 marks to get there.
