Hello Kaushik,
Till last year, admissions were based on entrance exam conducted by Anna University. But from this year onwards this has changed. It will be based on marks obtained in 12th. Due to this cutoffs of last year have lost all relevance. And I am sure your exam of 12th also is over. So, just don't worry. Relax and wait for results to be announced.

Looking at Finance I'd say Treasury Management (being a Trader or Stock Broker) would be one of the most lucrative options since you'll be using your technical background to run calculations and look for opportunities to make quick gains in the market. Similarly, Risk Management would again be a good option, but probably at a more senior level. Again, Management Consulting would also open up based on your aptitude and if you would have the base for some critical thinking and problem solving.
