Personally, I think that you shouldn't join this college, college is too bad.
The management here is extremely worst. They are not at all helpful in any way. More importantly, the faculty doesn't know proper English and doesn't have proper knowledge of the subject they teach. They will just come with a notebook and copy that on the board as it is. They won't be able to clarify any doubts if you have any. Very few of the faculty members are experienced and excellent in teaching.
So, just don't join this college for any branch.

In most of the reputed colleges, B.Tech lateral admissions are done through the entrance test. Hence, you have to apply for respective college's lateral entrance test first. Following are a few colleges offering B.Tech lateral admissions:
1. DTU, Delhi
2. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala
3. PTU, Jalandhar
4. College of Engineering Pune,
5. Anna University, Chennai.

As per MITE Bangalore's website, MITE offers 4 years B.E. programmes in various streams. First year B.E. admissions are based on KCET and COMEDK entrance test. Hence, college does not offers B.E. Lateral admissions.

Most of the top Australian universities like Monash, UNSW, etc. offer mechanical engineering for at least 6.5 overall band in IELTS with minimum 6.0 in each subtest. They also demand TOEFL scores which you can check on their websites. However, there must be many other universities that may grant admission at this score.
