The candidates will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs: The candidate should have scored at least 75% aggregate marks in 10+2th standard (equivalent) board examination. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, the aggregate marks should be at least 65%.

Hi, Choose what your mind says. If you have dreamt of being a mechanical engineer that opt for mechanical engineering else go for CS engineering. Placements and opportunities are very bright in both the branches. You can excel only where you have interest, so don't listen to others. Listen to your inner self.

I'll suggest you IT sector. A software engineer applies the principles of software engineering in designing, development, maintenance and testing of software. Software engineers are usually specialised in computer Science engineering and information technology. Good knowledge of programming languages is the key to success in this field.

You may get admission there but I am not so sure about this. As in 2015, the closing rank for mechanical engineering was 39000 and from 2015, we saw that a gradual decrease in demand of engineering courses it is a point of hope for you. I would suggest you to appear in the counseling and go till the final round. Rather than VITEE, you should try for some other ways too.
