Yes, you can get admission in CIT with this score easily. The only thing you have to do is be patient as in the primary round of counselling you might not be able to get the college.

No, it's doesn't matter. You apply for independent test of college or university to take admission there. But there are several colleges who made attached with JEE Mains. You can check it through official website.

Hello Suresh Babu,
You have scored good marks indeed. From this year onwards admissions to different engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu will be conducted by dte of tech education of Tamil Nadu Govt and not Anna University as was the case till last year. Also counselling will be online with facilitation centres in all districts. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about this.

Hello Sivaguru, I am sure that for doing M.Tech/ME in environmental engineering, criteria can not be degree in only environmental engineering. On top of it you have experience in this field. On checking I found that many institutions are saying criteria as degree in any discipline. As a sample I am attaching a link from Manipal which clearly shows that it allows students from variety of branches to seek admission in this branch. https://manipal.edu/mit/programs/program-list/mtech/mtech-environmental-engineering/eligibility.html
Best wishes for your admission in PG in environmental engineering branch.

Hello Kushal Rokade,
Wisdom School of Management located in Indira Nagar locality of Bangalore offers students many courses. However, there was no mention of any lateral admission. Another interesting feature was that this Institute is attached to Swami Vivekanand University and gives out degrees obtained after correspondence course. At this stage, I will like to caution you from even thinking of doing anything connected with engineering via distance mode as it has been banned completely by UGC. I am attaching a link that you give information about this Institute in detail.

Yes, it is better option to take ceramic engineering in NIT, Rourkela and upgrade it to mechanical or chemical as there is a lot of demand of ceramic engineering also, so if you might not be able to upgrade to the chemical also you have a great career ahead.
