Hello Deepak,
Your intention to get a placement in a service oriented company as a fresher is definitely laudable. It is in fact not difficult to achieve your aim. For this, you will have to be in touch with the placement cell of your college and be informed about different companies that are going to come or those have plan to come to your college for selecting students. Once you know these company's, then you can surmise for yourself as to which of these companies is in the field of service oriented activity and then select this company for appearing for placement interview.

Hello Swapnil, Yes, of course you can. But, perhaps very few institutions will give you credit for already completed Diploma. I am afraid that you will have to start from first year again of the new course. Best wishes to you for this new Diploma.

Yes, after doing your Diploma in mechanical engineering you are definitely eligible for Admission under lateral mode in Annamalai University's mechanical engineering department. Yes, you can definitely get admission for your engineering graduation after completion of your Diploma. When you complete Diploma, and then seek admission directly into the second year of engineering, it is called as a lateral admission. It is the accepted norm in Maharastra State and you can get admission under this category definitely. BE or B.Tech is one and the same thing, and don't get confused by the nomenclature.
