I would say instead of a mere short term course, take up internship or live project assignment with a leading institute or firm. The assignment could be related to the work you do or even deviated a bit, however, it gives you confidence and real -time exposure.

It is very nice to see your ambition to study MS abroad and that too with good amount of scholarship. But perhaps what you are seeking is only Utopia. For fulfilling your dreams I would advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students abroad for MS. It is nice to see your openness about enquiring different possibilities of specializations in PG after graduation in mechanical engineering. There are very many topics in which you can do PG. It is a long list, fluid mechanics, structures, manufacturing, design etc. But that is not the issue. During graduation, I am sure you have studied bits of many of these things. I would strongly advise you to introspect, meditate and see what fascinates you or what interests you greatly. Then select two of these for further analysis and then choose final one.
