Hi, NYU is one of the toughest to get into. Lateral entries are difficult abroad and after a diploma chances are low. If you want to study Bachelor degree you have to take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL. Check NYU website and also email them for your lateral entry query.

GRE is a pre-requisite to get admission in most institutes offering admission in MS (any branch). However, there are institues which offer admission into MS based on marks obtained in undergraduate field of study. The United States is the best when it comes to education in MS, and the most popular choice is Computer science nowadays, and I don't see this popularity index changing any time soon. However, the choice is entirely yours, there are many premier MS colleges in India as well offering relevant courses.

The fee would be 1.6 lakh per annum and for hostel. You have a choice 2 sharing and 4 sharing. For 2 sharing, it is 1.2 and for 4 sharing, it is 80k.

Language of instruction in Germany is German. You need to study this language first before starting the course. I feel you should approach specialist agencies dealing admission in Germany since there are many nuances and requirements to be fulfilled.
