Of course, For admission to state engineering colleges, you may have to clear lateral entry admission tests conducted by the state to become eligible for lateral entry admissions direct to the third semester of B.Tech programme. If you wish to be loyal to your stream of study you may opt for B.Tech in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics or Automobile Engineering.

As you would have a grip over mechanical topics, doing ME as a post bachelors programme leading to the professional degree which gives you a terminal Master's degree. If you are interested in updating technical skills, this would be a great option for sure.
