Your query is short on details. I am not able to understand what is in your mind and what is it that you want to ask because details of engineering mean what? Of, let me explain what I understood. Basically you need to pass 12th standard with PCM to be eligible for admission in an engineering college. For admission in IIT you need to score minimum 75%. Normally, every state conducts its own entrance exam for admission to engineering colleges and for admission in CFTI's you need to clear JEE Mains and for IIT's, JEE Advanced. Different deemed universities in India conduct their own entrance exams and you need to appear for

Your query is a little cryptic one. If you had written in details, it would have been better answered then. Of course, I will still try to answer, as the way I have understood your query. Perhaps what you are saying is that, after completing your 3 years of study in a Polytechnic College doing Diploma in mechanical engineering you are no more interested in further studies, but is looking for jobs. It is indeed very nice to know that you have scored 90% in your Diploma. My advice to you will be that to select mechanical engineering for your graduation. Low fees will be available only in Government Engineering Colleges and hence if other students have scored less than you in Diploma then you will have good chances of admission. So my advice will be to wait for the admission process to begin for next year and with positive attitude hope that you will get your desired college. Best wishes.

Shifting college after getting admission is almost next to impossible in today's world. This is so since admission is a long drawn process spread over many rounds and in each round the student is given choice to select his college. Of course it's a different matter that the student will get only that Institute which will be available for his rank in the entrance exam. As a result of this, to change Institute becomes very tough particularly so you want to shift from a private college to a government college. Because private college feels that they are losing money by allowing a student to quit and go to different Institute
