You can very well go for MS from any foreign universities,US universities are best for MS. You need to crack GRE and TOFEL(English proficiency test). If you want to pursue M.Tech crack GATE and get into IITs/IISC. A good score in GATE will also open opportunities to get a job offer in PSUs.

It is obvious that you had forced him to do engineering.
But, if he don't want to continue B.Tech, then discuss with your son and let him choose what he wants to do.

Dear Sreeram,
Please understand that there is no difference in PGDM and MBA other than course name. PGDM is equivalent to MBA and syllabus of both are almost same.
Maths is an essential subject in both. There are subjects like Quantitative Techniques , Business Maths / Statistics or etc in both PGDM and MBA.
If you are interested in Mechanical Eng., you can specialize in Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and Advanced Automotive Design Engineering etc. at PG level.

No, first of all, only UPES is offering this course and it is not a great institute. Secondly, if you pursue MBA in Petroleum Management, your career will confine only to this industry instead of you, do core MBA or MBA Tech from institute like NMIMS, IIT, you will have more options open. If you think petroleum is the only field, where you want to make your career, then go ahead. Average salary for UPES is less than INR 4 lakhs, highest package was INR 8.5 lakhs faculty is average, ROI is poor, so choose wisely.
