Hi Omkar,
For IIT, you must score atleast 75%. For any average college, atleast 60% is required. You can further check on college websites for the eligibility criteria.

You should pursue a field you are interested in because if you don't do it and lead your future with other options, you will not be that successful. Thus, I would suggest you to go for a field where your interest lies. But as you have asked, the best option is to go for mechanical engineering. If you are interested in it you can go for it. Dear Rohit,
Germany is supposedly the best country for mechanical engineering, admissions are very competitive as excellent grades are required. You should also consider USA, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada and Australia.

Dear Shivam,
No, it is really typical to get admission with such a rank in VITEEE. However, to get admission in your desired branch, the cut-off rank will vary considerably (for example, for CS it is under 8000). If your rank is above 20,000 and you are willing to join VIT, you may do so by getting a seat under the management quota. All the best!
