You can do Aeronautical Engineering specialisation after Mechanical engineering graduation also but I will recommend that you do B.Tech AE and then do super specialisation at M.Tech. You can evaluate IIT Powai, PEC University Chandigarh, IIST, Manipal university, Amity University etc. Amity has 5 year integrated M.Tech program in Aerospace Engineering and it is a very well recived in industry.

first of all, congratulations on getting such a good rank.you have a fair chance of getting mechanical branch in top colleges like BIT, MSRIT, MVIT, DAYANAND SAGAR. etc . However, I will suggest you to check the seat matrix available at the official website of kea.

average is around 4lpa but you should focus on faculty. As you are going to spend 4 crucial years of your life so you need a best surroundings.

Lot of engineering colleges such as Manipal university have lateral entry for Second year in B.Tech AE for Diploma holders. You may please evaluate same.
