Basically you should go for the degree from the autonomous institute and during degree complete the more and more certifications like CAD,CAM catia etc.

The maximum salary limit offered hovers around 6.2 lacs p.a.(offered by Cacterpillar). Other companies that have recruited engineers this year include L&T(Heavy Engineering), L&T (Construction), Hindalco, Sunmar, Gamesa, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai Automobiles, Adani power etc. The average salary offered by these companies is around 4.5 lacs p.a.
