Hi,
Mechatronics is a good course for which the interest among the students has been increased in recent times although it was available before. In mechatronics, several other branches of engineering are included:
Electrical, electronics, mechanical and a little of computer science, so if you do this you will be able to work in all sort of fields.
Due to automation, there is a wide scope for mechatronics in the future, as it is a complete study about machines and their workings.
Mechatronics is not being offered in many universities. So, prefer some of the best ones. Some of the colleges that offer mechatronics are Manipal University, SA

Not a good experience. Crowd is awful, Bad Placements, Poor management, Poor locality, Poor internal grading system, Politics, Poor practical exposure, Poor marking scheme, Poor sports facilities, Take unnecessary fines, Golddigger college, does not care about the facility.

For lateral entry, you have to qualifying the LEET entrance exam then you got lateral entry in good college for BE in electronics.

Yes you can choose mechatronics after your Diploma in electronics as it is combination of both electronics and mechanical. It is a very good field. Also one can change the field of study after Diploma.

Mechatronicsis a multidisciplinary field of engineering that includes a combination of systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, control engineering and computer engineering. It has very bright future in India.
