Yes, you can get admission in BE through lateral entry admission. When you will take admission then you will know about course. In BE. /B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), there are lots of subject. So, you will have to study all subject including Mechatronics.

Eligibility//Graduate from a recognized university. * Scope for Mechatronics Engineering in India Though, there is no specific data to track employment for mechatronics professionals, in the recent years there has been increasing demand for mechatronics professionals. About 5% growth in terms of employment in comparison to electrical engineers. Thank you.

As you have already completed your graduation in electrical engineering. Therefore, you are eligible to take admission in M.Tech for Mechatronics in Germany or anywhere you want to. Therefore, you should apply for this, if you are interested in the same.

Lateral entry is only applicable for Diploma qualified students.

Hi,
No, they are not. Mechatronics is multidisciplinary between mechanical, electronics and computer engineering.
Robotics, on the other hand, can be considered as a part of mechatronics as it involves these mechanical, electronics and computer engineering fields. The main difference is inputs are "provided" to mechatronics systems whereas robotics systems "acquire" inputs by their own.

Basic qualifications required by you are - basics of coding in Java, c+, python or any language. Since mechatronics is a new branch combining mechanical and electronics, you should be familiar with the basics of mechanics and electronics taught in 11th and 12th grade. Apart from that whichever branch you choose, to pursue a great career you need to be passionate enough.
