The cut-off and qualifying marks are clearly mentioned in the result sheet. Scoring more than that means you are eligible to apply for MBBS seat in a private or jointly run medical college, I. e. seats not under state government or All India quota.

Both has its own respect, scopes and requirement. There is huge shortage of Dentist in India added to fact that Alternative Therapies are now highly sought after in India. Both has its own financial expenditures, like eqiuptments used and so. Henceforth, do bit more homework of what suits you. If you ask me, though BAMS may have equally the same value but opt for BDS. The opportunities are quite diverse India and Abroad, especially when most of reports by Times of India and so speaks about shortage of Dentists in India.

It is the counselling process for the seat allotment by respective states against the reverted seats from All India 15% quota. Candidates who have qualified the exam can participate in the counselling irrespective of their domicile. Candidates have to fill up fresh forms to apply for it. This gives a better chance to claim a government seat irrespective of your lower marks than actual state cut-off. This round is mainly for deemed universities. Any candidate who wants to get into medical technology has to appear for the entrance exam after which the shortlisted candidates are selected for the counselling through the admission process. As there are a limited number of seats available and the number of candidates willing to take admission is higher, screening tests are conducted by the University. So, every candidate has to clear the Common Entrance Test to be deemed eligible for admission.
