Food for both boys & girls is same and its good. From an open-air amphitheater for cultural events and celebrations, a fully-equipped gym facility, Wi-Fi access, a common lobby where students can read newspapers and magazines, a separate room for watching TV, washing machines on each floor, and hot water geysers with 24 hours water supply. The hostel kitchen is well-stocked and has a multi-cuisine option with a different menu each day. On alternate days, snacks and fruits are available.

As per the VTU procedure, the CGPA is calculated. There is a formula to calculate SGPA & CGPA. SGPA is each semester's GPA and CGPA is the cumulative GPA. To calculate CGPA you must have all your SGPA. SGPA= sum [ (course credits) X (Grade points)] for all courses with Letter grades, including F (in that semester)] / sum [ (course credits)] for all courses with letter grades, including F (until that semester)]
CGPA= average of all SGPA.

In my opinion, I suggest you try to attend the internals even though you miss some classes. It creates a huge impact on your final exam. You can miss one test out of 3 for each subject but this plan is not advised. They take the best 2 tests to make it up to 50 marks but if u fail to get 25 marks combined then they consider you as a fail and also you are not allowed to attempt the final exam of that semester. You get a 'W' grade for that and you have to wait till even the semester to take up the subject again.

Internals in NIE plays a keen role to decide not only your internal exam result but also your final end-semester result. But Honestly its not that difficult to score in internals if you study day to day. They take the best 2 tests to make it up to 50 marks but if u fail to get 25 marks combined then they consider you as a fail and also you are not allowed to attempt the final exam of that semester. You get a 'W' grade for that and you have to wait till even the semester to take up the subject again.

Specifically answering to this then yes, you can get direct admission which comes in management category. But the fees allotted for this depends on various departments ranging till 10 to 12 Lacs which is high compared to the usual way of joining college through exams. The best way to get into college is through KCET exam for Karnataka residence or else COMEDK exam for other state residence in order to reduce fee amount.

Girls: formal wear, churidar, t-shirt, jeans kurta, but transparent clothes, shorts, skirts are not allowed. This is followed for daily college wear and for sports shorts are allowed.

It is perfect if you come to academic part and sports. Especially if you are in tech branches the placement is really good. There is a decent scope for other branches. Regarding how great your campus life will be basically depend on your circle of friends, you'll get to meet a lot of people from different places throughout India. So the initial days might be a problem, gradually you'll open up and after that it's easier.
