NIT Durgapur admission to BTech is based on JEE Main score. Candidates are selected through their past academic scores and rank obtained in JEE Main exam. After the commencement of all the selection rounds, candidates have to register for JoSAA Counselling process. The final seat allotment is done through JoSAA Counselling process. Further, if seats remain unfilled, then the vacant seats are filled with CSAB Counselling.

Candidates need to pass GATE to get a seat in NIT Durgapur M.Tech programme. NITD offers seats under Sponsored and Self-Sponsored Category. After qualifying GATE, candidates are required to come for CCMT Counselling.
GATE cutoffs are released online, aspirants with score equal or above cutoff, become eligible for CCMT Counselling. Shortlisted candidates need to register for CCMT Counselling to become eligible for seat allotment. Selected aspirants are required to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.
