For MBA, NIT Durgapur has an intake of 44 students. Out of the total seats, 17 are unreserved, while 27 are reserved for the candidates applying under various reservation categories. The tuition fee for the IIEST Shibpur MBA course is INR 4 lakh. At the same time, the fee at IIEST Shibpur seems high when compared with NIT Durgapur. The fee structure at NIT Durgapur is INR 1.5 lakh. Based on the above comparison NIT Durgapur is a more affordable option to purse an MBA course. Placement records, and the quality of education overall, may also be considered when comparing these programmes.

NIT Durgapur GATE Cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to MTech courses. The cutoff score for admission to closed at a range of 358 and 505, among the General All India category candidates. Therefore, it is not possible for candidate belonging to the General AI category to get admission at the score of 250-280.
Among the OBC All India category candidates, the cutoff ranks for different courses closed at a range of 302 and 464. Therefore, for OBC AI category candidates also, it is not possible to get admission to MTech at 250 and 280 score. Candidates can check the cateory-wise and round-wise cutoff on this page.

To be eligible to get a seat at NIT Durgapur for BTech/Integrated BTech/Integrated MSc courses, candidate must attain the requisite cutoff rank as per the category they belong to, in the JEE Main exam. Considering the last round cutoff for the General AI category candidates, candidate must atleast have a minimum cutoff rank of 76525, for the least competitive course, i.e. Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry. Therefore, it is possible for the a candidate belonging to the General AI category to get a seat at 31602. At 31602 rank, candidate can get a seat in the given courses:
