For the entrance, there is no such syllabus. There are two sets of written exam: CAT (Creative ability test) and GAT(General ability test). CAT checks upon your drawing skills and your designing skills, basically the creativity of one. GAT checks upon your basic English grammar, Logical reasoning, basic Maths (usually till class 10th) and how much updated you are with current affairs and your general knowledge. So, this sums up the so called 'syllabus' that you need although NIFT doesn't declares any specific syllabus for the entrance.

Hi Aditi, if you are not taking any tuitions, then you can just practice on your own, give exams using the online sample question papers, work on your drawing skills and just keep yourself updated with current affairs. Basic English grammar, Logical reasoning and Maths of class 10th should also be worked upon.

NIFT really has good brands to offer during campus placements but it's really like a fair now as more and more centers are emerging, there are more number of students than companies that NIFT offers. People get good jobs in NIFT, it is undoubtedly true but there are students that are still struggling which should not be the case. Every deserving candidate should get a good job. However, it depends majorly on your portfolio and your presentation skills. This is my experience.
