NIFT

In order to be eligible for admission to design courses at NIFTs, applicants must fulfil the requirements of each programme, which vary depending on factors like age, subject combination, qualifying test, etc. Program-specific eligibility requirements might specify the minimum age, required academic standing, required number of attempts, and other requirements that a candidate must fulfil in order to be admitted. Below are the prerequisites that are fundamental to the courses: 

BDes - Candidate must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board and Must be aged below 24 years

BFTech - Candidate must have completed Class 12 with such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and aged below 24 years

MDes - Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognised university. There is no age limit for this course. 

MFTech - Candidate must have completed BFTech from a recognised university and there is no age limit. 

MFM - Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognised university and no age limit is specified.

The following is the selection process for B Des at National Institute of fashion technology. 

1.The students need to fill the online application form from the Institute's official website with all necessary details like 12th, 10th marks etc. 

2.After filling the application form student will be called to qualify for the NIFT test which includes aptitude tests, group discussions etc. after that the students need to wait for the cutoff. 

3.If the students qualifies in the cutoff, the NIFT counselling will take place. 

4.After counselling, the students will be given the final admission. 

Talking about the minimum NIFT entrance marks required, it totally depends on the seats available, and the cutoff. The cutoff rank which was required for BDes in fashion Designer in 2023 was 1692. All other specialisations will have different ramks.
