Choose NISER Bhubaneswar if you're research oriented, aiming for top PhD programs or R&D positions, and prefer a stipend-supported campus with strong scientific mentorship.
Choose NIT Rourkela if you want a blend of academic education and industry-ready placements, with flexibility to pursue engineering roles or analytic jobs.

Placements for Ph.D. students at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar are generally not focused on traditional campus placements like those in engineering or management fields. NISER is primarily focused on research and higher education, with many graduates pursuing further studies or research positions. While there isn't a placement cell in the traditional sense, NISER provides support for students with internships, PhD opportunities, and connections for research positions.

To make it on the competitive list, one needs to grow some more in NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) to NISER Bhubaneswar, at least between 75-85 percentile ranges depending on category and year.

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar does not mention a "100% scholarship" clearly to its Ph.D. students by way of tuition waivers or any other such means, since the scheme is itself fully funded.
Ph.D. scholars are given a fellowship through schemes like JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), which is about INR 31,000 monthly, plus a contingency grant as per DST norms. Living costs and research expenses are taken care of, making this almost a complete funding support system.
