The departmental electives are divided into three categories in the NIT Patna integrated MSc in Chemistry curriculum. Each category has four subjects in it. Mentioned below are some of the departmental electives offered by the institute:

NIT Patna admit candidates to the BSc-MSc integrated courses based on merit in the JEE Main exam. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the entrance exam through NTA official website. The institute may release its separate application form as well for the course admission. The Last Round closing rank for General AI category students for Integrated M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) was 19527, while for the General Home State category students, the Last Round closing rank was 23853. For BTech CSE, the cutoff was 16697 which decreased to 18206 in 2024.
