If it is your common merit rank, then you will get admission in very good NIT with CSE.

To get admission in b.tech programs offered by various NIT's, cutoff is varied, depending upon the category to which one belongs. But, if we look upon top NIT's of India, the cutoff rank declared by them mostly ranges b/w 26k to 70k.

First of all, congratulations.
You got a decent rank. You will get CSE/IT in top NITs. The average package of CSE in top 5 NITs are above Rs. 5 lakhs p.a. You should join IIIT, Allahabad, as it has very good coding culture and placement is also excellent there.

Please specify your state board and category.
Assuming that you belong to the general category and CBSE board, I am not sure that you can get admission in NIT.

Chances are low. You won't get admission in any good college.
Try next year or try for private colleges.

Hello Himanshu, if your boards percentage is less than 65% marks (minimum cut-off for SC and ST Candidates), I am sorry to say you cannot get into NITs, but I am not sure about the state government Colleges. You can try for them.

There are chances that you might get into one of the NIT's, maybe NIT Hamirpur or NIT Raipur. There closing rank goes sufficiently far every year to fetch you a seat. So, go ahead for the counselling. Moreover, there is always a change every year but you can try at least.

Hello Mahesh,
Yes, you can get some NITs, but not the top NITs like Trichy, Warangal etc. You can get the NITs like Srinagar, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Agartala, Manipur, etc. They are not that good, but if you don't get a good college then you can study in these NITs.
You can have a brand name of NITs.
