With your ranking, it looks quite tough to me. If you consider total number of seats available + wastages, still your rank is a bit away. If you really want NIT only, I suggest, take a break of one year, prepare well and get good rank next year.

Your rank under catagory is quite well. I feel you have very bright chance of getting admission in one of the NIT's. Which one is difficult to guess but you will get admission.
