Certain universities like Manipal University and Lovely Professional University also offer lateral entry in second year of the program. For lateral entry a student must have a Diploma in Pharmacy with 50% marks in first and second year and must have Science group subjects in Higher Secondary School Examination.

Following is general information about Ph.D. admission, with some variation between different universities. Please check for your eligibility to pursue Ph.D. from the criteria mentioned below:
You should be a graduate with minimum 50% marks
The university advertises about research openings in specific areas and you can apply for a specific field, if your qualifications match. (If you know some of the faculty in the specific field, you are better informed about supervisors, openings etc. )
Each of the registered supervisors for doctoral work will have a limited no of openings, as per the university regulations. A few universities conduct a pre-PhD exam for aspirants before admission of students, while a few others conduct the same exam after admission. The pre-PhD exam generally consists of questions on maths statistics and the specific area or field in which the student aspiers do the doctoral work. Normally, selected student works under the guidance of a supervisor for a minimum period of two years or four semesters, and they need to pay the semester/ year fees till they submit a thesis on the subject area. Yes, you are eligible to apply for NET Examination. NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted By UGC (University Grant Commission) twice in a year, June and December.
- And Only those candidates are eligible for NET Who have completed his Post graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university and must have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post Graduation. Final year Post graduate candidates are also apply for NET Examination.
- So, if you have scored minimum 55% marks in your M. Pharmacy then you are apply for the NET Examination. The Notification of NET December 2011 examination was going to be published soon in the month of September. So, please wait for the Notification and then apply for this examination.
- Candidates may fill the application form Online by visit the NET Official website, the examination fees of NET was Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees as a challan form in any Branch of SBI. After paying fees through challan, you are eligible to fill the online Application.
- There is No Age restriction to apply for Lectureship Post, but for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), your age should not be more than 28 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for other reserved categories.
- There are three papers in NET and all are conducted in same day in two sessions, first two papers are Objective and Third paper was Descriptive. To get admission into the pharmacy course, students have to complete their 10+2 education & apply for national level or state level pharmacy entrance exam. The national level entrance exam is Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2018). You can also apply for the state level exams such as TS EAMCET 2018, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2018, BCECE 2018, WBJEE 2018, etc. As per the eligibility criteria of the exams. There are various exams conducted by private and public universities for the admission to the various graduate and postgraduate pharmacy courses. There are some of famous university level exams like BVP CET 2018, IPU CET 2018, MHTCET 2018, etc. Few institutions offer direct admission into the pharmacy programme without appearing in an entrance test on the basis of class 12th marks.
