You can apply for the NITs and new IITs for M.Sc in physics. There is a subject like mathematical physics, if you are interested then apply for that.

Well that will depend upon your CAT percentile. You should have atleast 95% in CAT if you are thinking for IIMs. Secondly, your graduation score is still less but on the other hand it's diverse (Physics Hons.), which is plus point. So, give it a try and all the best!

Hi Deepak,
IIT, Roorkee is a good institute for research and if you wish to pursue here you should go for it but wisely choose your guide under which you want to continue research. This you can do by talking to students already doing research there which will help you in choosing right guide. Also, IIT Roorkee has many research facilities.
