First, you should get your basics clear. For that read the theory, clear your concepts. You can refer to HC Verma for basics. Then you should practice different questions. I found book By BM Sharma from Engage Publication very useful. Also keep giving mock tests continuously. Try solving a variety of questions.

Instead of going for coaching classes, you can prepare for JAM Exam by your own. You should solve as many previous years IIT JAM Question Papers as possible. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Also take online mock tests to analyze your preparation level. This will also increase your speed and accuracy while solving questions. Focus mainly on the most important topics from now. Learn all the important formulas. Practice as many questions as possible. Makes notes of all the important stuff. This will help you in your last minute preparation. Improve your weaker areas. Study more fo
