There is no issue in the admission process but you have to give one affidavit regarding that and that is the norm.

Gender never decides the courses. It is your interest in which side you can do better. Choose that side.
I suggest you to go with Engineering, because it has more scope rather than B.Sc.

In today's world, one has to be extremely careful for career step. If by chance, you even start studying without interest then it may effect your career , future of Maritime is also bright but if you still not want , Talk to you parents tell them different options you have show them the practical Picture of career . I will enlist some universities you can browse different courses like Amity University, SRM University , Lovely Professional University, etc.

In institutes like Presidency College, Chennai, Queen Mary's College, Chennai and Jamia Millia Islamia University-[JMI], New Delhi eligibility conditions that one needs to fulfill to get admission includes B.Sc. (Hons.)/B.Sc. in Geography passed with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Candidates should have passed BSc with at least one subject of Biological Sciences or BAMS or MBBS or BHMS or BPT or BPharm or any other professional graduate degree from a recognized University; BSc with Physics and Chemistry optional. Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
