The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Pilot course is 10+2 Passed with Physics, Maths and English from recognised board or equivalent. The medical fitness is an important aspect and candidate should possess good physique /eye sight and should be medically fit as per the standards laid down in the Indian Aircraft Rules. Candidates are required to undergo Medical Examination with a DGCA approved Medical Practitioner / Medical Board and found fit. Fitness is subject to the assessment by the Director General of Civil Aviation New Delhi. The fee structure are varying according to colleges and can be in between Rs 21-50 Lacs. Yes, Government Flying Training School Bangalore has the Pilot Training course. The School offers a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) of 24 Months duration courses. The eligibility criteria and other details are given below.
1. Min Age 17 years.
2. Educational qualification:10 + 2 Passed with Physics and Maths from recognized board or equivalent.
3. Course structure: 200 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
4. Duration: 24 months.

Pilot training is governed and regulated by DGCA and it is irrespective of the flying school you choose to train with. For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible.
