No, you just need a commercial pilot license. You must complete 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent marks in maths and physics. You must be at least 16 years of age to be eligible for a Student Pilot License, 17 for a Private Pilot License, and 18 for a Commercial Pilot License.

Hello Vishnu, I can understand the enthusiasm of yours in dreaming of becoming a commercial pilot. For becoming a pilot, one needs to join a flying school. For joining any flying school, minimum eligibility is 12th with PCM. So one need not be doing B.Sc. In aviation or engineering in Aeronautical branch or any graduation. One just needs to do 12th with PCM. That's all.
Best wishes for your dreams of becoming a commercial pilot.

I would say first of all focus on your 12th board, you need above 55/60% in physics, maths and english for certain flying schools. Its good that youve decided it in 12th itself. If you get time during your 12th, I would suggest first of all undergo your class 2 medicals, it won't take much time, about 56 hours depending on the hospital. Here is the list of dgca class 2 medical examiners, http://dgca.nic.in/medical/class.check whichever is the nearest and take an appointment. But do check the validity of class 2 medical, Im unsure. Meanwhile, check out flying schools in India, here is the list of a few good ones. IGRUA, Rae Bareli (Indi

Hello Vishnu,
In simple words, the answer is no. The basic eligibility for admission in a flying school is class 12th with PCM and not graduation in any subject. Best wishes to you.
