Polytechnic teachers are also appointed through Public Civil Service (PCS) Examination Test. There is no uniformity in qualifications. Some states the Technical Teachers Exam (TTE) to be passed, and some allow a Bachelor of Education some require a Bachelor of Technology only. Please refer to the respective DTE (Director of Technical Education) guidelines of your State or become a Government Polytechnic Lecturer, you have to appear for the state Public Civil Service examination. Cut off marks for admission to a diploma varies from one state to another state and also for different category of persons based on caste. In general, with special reference to Tamil nadu State ,I can give the MAX-MIN cut off for different category.However, this may vary slightly upwards/downwards.
OC and forward caste persons 100 80 of total marks in SSLC/SSC(10th class)
BC 79 60 of total marks.in SSLC/SSC(10th class)
MB 59 40 of total marks.in SSLC/SSC(10th class)
SC/ST PASS of total marks.in SSLC/SSC(10th class)

1- If you do not wish to study more or do not have the necessary resources, then you can get technical jobs by doing an ITI course; otherwise, if you want to go ahead in the technical field, it would be better to do polytechnics at less expense and less time.
