While the cutoff for Pondicherry University can be considered competitive , it varies according to the course a candidate has choose, their category and the difficulty level of the entrance exam. Usually, undergraduate courses cutoff is lower than the cutoff for postgraduate courses as there are more seats to fill in the UG courses. Moreover, the cutoff for reserved category is lower than the cutoff for the General category as the Government of India has reserved a certain number of seats for the reserved category students.
