A great college with good infrastructure and campus.
Placements: The placement ratio is quite average in our university compared to bigger institutions. We have a placement cell in our university that helps by contacting companies to visit us and often conducts placement drives, especially for final-year students. Institutions like Allen, along with banking companies like HDFC, etc. The package ranges from 7 LPA to 15 LPA. Even though the placements are average compared to other institutions, they are quite impressive for freshers to receive a reasonable amount.
Infrastructure: Hostels here are well-equipped. We can get a spacious room with triple sharing, along with cupboards, a cot, a study table, and a chair. There are 2 hostels for UG and first-year PG boys, 4 for Ph.D. and second-year PG boys, and 7 hostels for girls, located 800 meters away from the boys' hostels. The mess food is average. Hostels don't have any in and out timings, while mess timings are 7:30 to 9:30 AM for breakfast, 12:30 to 2:30 PM for lunch, and 7:30 to 9:30 PM for dinner. I personally feel very comfortable.
Faculty: Faculty members who are teaching us are very experienced. The professors, along with the HOD, have their doctorates and post-doctorate degrees, having done extensive research in their respective fields. This course curriculum is relevant, and it enhances my skills both practically and theoretically. Our semester-end exams are moderately tough, and the pass percentage is 75%.
Other: I have chosen the course Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. As we all know, it is a good course and will play an important role in the upcoming days as we progress in the development of science. I have chosen this department for the same reason. My course is perfectly designed to increase our knowledge. We can enjoy events and fests frequently, along with discussion programs, quiz competitions, and workshops in various departments. Finally, my experience is one that cannot be expressed in words rather, one should personally experience it by coming to this university.

A considerable choice with great value.
Placements: There are no placements in this department, but they allow for projects in the second year for 6 months, which depends on you. They do not allow for internships because the curriculum is tighter than expected. Memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are signed with various universities, which gives a chance for collaboration.
Infrastructure: The department is spacious, with two large classes every year, each air-conditioned. There are two labs for practical purposes, and every faculty member has a personal laboratory for their research work. The university has centralized Wi-Fi facilities provided after your admission.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified with many years of research experience. But the only drawback is that their expectations and standards are higher, which makes it difficult for us to satisfy, ultimately resulting in a lower CGPA. They are also quite stringent with their work, with no room for excuses.
Other: I chose this course because it is offered at a central university, which gives it additional value on my resume. The way teachers are taught can be changed.

Placements must be provided for M.Sc. students.
Placements: There were no placements. Students did not apply for internships. Most of the students opted for Ph.D. programs. They were not aware of placements and jobs available for them. Some of the students are still waiting to be accepted into a Ph.D. course and others have left this line of study and is currently pursuing other fields of study.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available all around the campus, the classrooms in the department were air conditioned and there was no department library. The labs were not well-equipped. Hostel rooms were cramped, quality of food was not good, medical facilities were provided, students were into sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful and qualified. Teaching quality of some of the teachers was good while some did not do a good job of providing knowledge during class lectures. This course is not relevant and does not expose the students to possibilities of working in industry. It does not make the students industry ready.
Other: Chose the course to learn more about the subject Biochemistry. Best thing about the course was challenging myself with greater knowledge of the biological sciences. To improve the course it would require a subject on biochemical processes and engineering and an exposure to industrial facilities and services providing options for students to not only pursue Ph.D. at the end of the course.

Other: This university is situated in Pondicherry and is at a distance of 160 kms from Chennai and 4hrs journey. The teaching methodology of faculty is not up to the mark and syllabus framed in this department is equal to CSIR and other national level entrance exams. The facilities are poor and food is of bad quality and it has no proper internet facility and the temperature is hot. The faculty is co-operative but the library is not up to the mark. The placements are not there for this department and the labs are satisfactory. Proper funds are not allotted to this department.
