To become a successful psychologist in India, you will have to follow an entire degree course; that is Bachelor's program in psychology, followed by Master's degree, and then PhD in this subject.
You can opt for M.A or M.SC Psychology. Other Options that can help you in knowing- how to become psychologist in India:
-You can enroll into one year diploma course in psychology under guidance and counseling.
-Opt for certification courses (6 months- 1 year) after you have completed your graduation, conducted by qualified psychologists and afterwards, you can become a member of Association of Professional Psychologists.

Psychology signifies the scientific study of the human mind and behavior. There is tremendous scope in the field.
To build a career in Psychology, you have two options :
1)
If you have completed 12th in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as your subjects, you may go for MBBS. And after that you may either do a postgraduate course (M.D.- Doctor of Medicine) in Psychiatry or a Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine (DPM) to become a qualified Psychiatrist.
