1.  Official transcripts from all the college's applicant has attended 

2. Applicants must submit three LORs that have to speak about their past experience and performance for a successful completion of the MPH program.

3. A SOP must be submitted to SOPHAS and they must be typewritten of 500 words or less and include as follows:

• What is you concentration of interest and how would completion of the MPH programme allow you to live your purpose

• Describe how your coursework, work/volunteer, and life experiences have prepared you to be successful in the MPH program. In your answer please also include experiences that have helped you better understand, address, and/or advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equity issues.

• Describe your experiences with facing and overcoming adversity.

• Describe how your characteristics and goals are congruent with the Program’s mission and values (see below)

• Describe how your personal or academic background and experiences will bring a unique perspective to the programme and positively contribute to the Public Health community

• Any special Circumstances applicable to your application.

The documents required for MPH programme at UAB are given as follows:

·       Statement of purpose: This includes the reason and purpose for choosing this programme and the main objectives.

·       LORs: Three letters of recommendation are required from academic or professional references.

·       Resume/Curriculum Vitae is required

·       English proficiency test score report for international applicants

·       Standardized test scores (GRE or other accepted tests)

·       Official transcripts from every college-level institution attended. Transcripts from institutions outside the U.S. or Canada must undergo a course-by-course evaluation through World Education Service (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE

The Master's course in Public Health at UAB includes the following:

A total of 42 credit hours of coursework are required for the coordinated Master of Public Health programme. However, because of the coordinated nature of the degrees, 12 credit hours from the Masters in Health Administration are credited to the MPH course, and 9 credit hours are credited to the MSHA course. All MPH students engage in an Applied Practice Experience (Internship) in the community and conclude their coursework with an Integrative Learning Experience (Capstone) in which they pull together skills and perspectives learned in both the core and the concentration courses to produce a high-quality written product. The programme is available with the following concentrations:

• Maternal and Child Health Policy
• Population Health
