The Digital SAT is shorter than the paper SAT or the old version because of the following reasons:
- The Digital SAT is shorter because it is digitalised, thus, lesser paper work and faster answering online.
- SAT Digital has smaller reading passages in comparison to the previous version.
- There is one Math section, instead of two, and all questions can be solves using a calculator which makes the test shorter.
- The Digital SAT has a shorter duration keeping in mind the applicant's fatigue and overwhelm.
- Finally, the questions have reduced on the latest SAT and then the duration has also reduced overall.

The SAT preparation may seem easier for those who are more inclined towards reading and logical reasoning. Whereas, those who have a practical plus logical bent of mind will find ACT exam preparation easier. But again the ease of preparation completely depends on the applicant and on his/her previous knowledge.
