No, SAT can not be taken at home. Although in a present state SAT is completely digitalized, it is still administered at a special testing site or at school with a proctor in the room. This policy makes the exam to be upright and just. An app called Bluebook that you can practice the College Board allows you to take the practice exam at home, but on the day of the actual exam, you need to be in a physical environment and have a proctor.

The SAT exams take place at the designated SAT exam centres. College Board has its designated centres across different countries including India. Indian applicants appearing for SAT exam can choose the nearest SAT exam centre upon exam registration. The SAT exam is conducted across 30+ Indian cities and there are around 129 test centres for SAT. Thus, applicants will get ample test centre options to choose from if registering for the SAT exam weel before the deadline.

Worried about getting the nearest SAT exam centre for the main exam day? There is one way to get rid of this problem. Check out the steps to find the nearest SAT centres by following these simple instructions given in the section below:
- First of all, log in on the College Board website and get to the registration page after choosing the appropriate SAT exam date.
- Once the applicant chooses the SAT exam date, they will be prompted on the SAT exam centre choice option.
- There will be options to check the nearest SAT exam centre via test centre code or city based on country selection.

The centres are strategically located in major educational hubs such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Amritsar, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. The centres are easily accessible to students from different regions.SAT exam centres are available in metros like - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and other cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Haryana, Indore, Ahmedabad, etc.

Going for the SAT exam? Only the following items will be permitted at SAT exam centres:
- Admission Hall Ticket
- ID Poof with Photograph
- Stationery: No. 2 Pencil (Suggested Quantity: 2) and Erasers
- Calculator (approved by the authorities) or use a digital calculator on the device for testing on Bluebook which is embedded
- Auto-injectors: Epinephrine (such as EpiPens)
- Fully charged device on which SAT digital is to be attempted
- Charger for the device on which applicants would give their SAT exam
All these items need to be carried in a clear (see-through) bag. Applicants can also carry their watches which are without an audible alarm and are analogu

There is a list of things that are not allowed at SAT test centres and they are as follows:

Applicants going for the SAT exam must avoid the above mentioned prohibited list of items at all costs. In case of non-adherence, the applicant's devices can be confiscated and checked or the scores can be cancelled also, the applicants can be dismissed.

No, no stationery is provided at the SAT exam centre to students. Those who are interested in carrying any stationery should carry it with themselves and not expect to borrow from someone at the centre or request people or invigilators at the test centre for any.

No, there are no locker facilities available at SAT exam centres. Students who are going to appear for the SAT exam should not be carrying any extra material apart from whatever is allowed to be carried into the test centre premises. Thus, students must not expect to get any such facilities for storing their valuables. Students must carry light and avoid carrying anything that cannot be taken care of.
