Candidates who have passed a master’s degree or a professional degree with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale are eligible to apply for PhD programme. Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% aggregate can also apply.

Aspirants need to complete BE/ BTech in CSE/ ISE/ IT/ ECE/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Civil or MSc CS/ IS/ IT/ Mathematics or MCA with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) to apply for M.Tech programme at SOET CMR University.

The eligibility requirements varies course-wise. Candidates need to pass a minimum of Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG programmes. Below is SOET, CMR University eligibility criteria:
