CG PAT exam will be held on June 21, 2026 tentatively. CG PAT 2026 result is expected to be released in July 2026. So students are advised to check CG PAT website for timely updates. Previous year CG PAT result took place on July 20, 2025. Students can check their result by visiting to the CG PAT website, click on the link and then enter your CG PAT 2026 registration number and submit.

In the CG PAT 2026 exam there will be 200 questions, 200 marks; 1 mark for correct answers, no negative marking.

The candidate must pass Class 12 in Science stream to be eligible for CG PAT 2026.

For General category minimum 50% for General, 45% for reserved category.

Though most colleges do not require a maths background for admission into this course. One can still say that mathematics is used in the practical applications of scientific principles. One can require basic mathematical operations and calculations. Also, financial planning, budgeting, and resource management all require math skills for calculation of interest rates, depreciation and profit margins.

Hi.

Yes, some math is needed for Genetics — but you do not need to be a math expert.

Genetics & Math: What's Actually Required?

At school / basic undergraduate level

  • Very basic math only

    • Ratios and percentages

    • Probability (e.g., Punnett squares)

    • Simple statistics (mean, graphs)

 If you're comfortable with Class 10–12 math basics, you're fine.

Undergraduate Genetics / Life Sciences

You'll encounter:

  • Probability & statistics (inheritance patterns, population genetics)

  • Graphs and data interpretation

  • Basic algebra

 No advanced calculus in most programs
 Many courses teach the required math alongside biology
