Unluckily, the correction window CUET 2025 (which was closed at around March 28, 2025) was restricted in scope of changes and category was largely excluded in the CUET application in itself. Nonetheless, during the registration to DU CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System), a separate window of correction was often provided and it could have been used to change the category provided your documents were valid. As the DU CSAS Phase 2 window to fill preference (registration) and correction for 2025 is closed around July 14, 2025, and the first seat allotment list has already been posted on July 19, 2025, you can hardly manage to swap your

In the case of CBSE, normally you have three chances to pass a compartment exam three chances to pass a compartment exam: one in July August the same year you failed it, one in March April next year (when the main board exams are offered) and a third in July August in the same year. Because you were defeated in 2023, your three chances probably would have been July/August 2023, March/April 2024 and July/August 2024. So chances are very less that you can take a compartment exam in 2025. As a private candidate, you would have to rewrite all the subjects.

There is a possibility that you have passed the CUET application date (normally, March/April) and DU CSAS enrolment in SRCC, which has a deadline date on July 14, 2025, Phase 2. The initial seat allocation list of DU UG has been notified on 19 th July 2025 that has to be accepted before 21 st July 2025. Unless these are done, it is very unlikely that there can be direct admission this year. The most suitable thing to do is to check the DU CSAS portal whether there is a chance of a later round or to prepare next year of CUET.

Yes, on the whole, as a student of PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), you would be qualified to study B.Tech Fisheries Engineering, at the College of Fisheries engineering. To get into engineering programs most institutions demand a great background in such core science subjects. Speaking of Physical Education being an extra subject, it most of the time does not obstruct your eligibility unless you fail to score the precise percentage or enterence test score in the case of PCM.
